Nice day, isn’t it?

 

The weather has been incredible and all over the place as of late, right? I mean one day it’s cool coat weather and the next the AC is on full blast.

 

Terrible time to be a young tree. Do you sprout or go dormant, right?

 

OK, that was a terrible intro. I’ve never been really good at creating small talk. I don’t feel like I have the “gift of gab.” I mainly talk to “defend myself.”

 

Truth is that I cringe at awkward moments when I’m around anyone for an extended time and it’s all quiet. I feel propelled to talk to break that silence. 

 

I keep up with the news, especially when it comes to sports, business, and tech so if you run into me, that’s the flavor of the convo that I’m sending your way. I don’t have an Associated Press level knowledge of different things. However, I take inventory mainly of what I’m interested in.

 

I’m Pete and Pete’s Text is my way to get out my ideas and state my opinion on things that I usually would text my family and friends about. So, as you read my blog posts and notice how informal they are, that’s by design. Although I can write more technical and business-themed text, I prefer to write this blog as if I’m having an informal conversation with a family member or a friend. I encourage you to “listen in” on these convos and chime in. 

 

Think of it like when you visit relatives or friends for an “all-day” get-together and it goes until the wee hours of the morning the next day where you’re “talking” about societal and mundane topics with such deep passion and conviction…but, you have no real inclination on genuinely changing these issues anyway (like this bi-polar weather we’re experiencing).

 

I hope to build a solid community that is empowering, enlightening and enjoyable…but not super controversial or blatantly offensive and disrespectful to others. Let’s keep it cordial and kind, shall we?
